BBS Brand Identity

The British Benevolent Society of California is a charitable organization that has been supporting British citizens in need in the Bay Area and the West Coast since 1896.

With a broad array of services and support to offer their members, the British Benevolent Society of California is a great resource for British ex-pats in need. But having been established in a different era, the organization was struggling to connect their legacy brand with a younger demographic and to raise general awareness for their services.

CBA was engaged to help modernize and revitalize the brand, leveraging the society’s full range of activities and capitalizing on its incredible heritage. The final result is a new brand strategy and visual identity system that brings the organization up to speed. A shortened name, distilled brand, essence and revitalized sense of purpose is helping the BBS to drive recruitment, connect more seamlessly with their existing members and attract a new generation of British citizens into the fold.
